  • At the beginning of November, Daniel Beech & Sister Dominic travelled to Feilding for a meeting at St Dominic’s School for the Deaf. It was a time for ‘Planning for the Future’. Reports were presented on the work of the school and future possibilities, and organisation and funding of the hostel, the needs and new directions in the Pastoral Ministry. 
  • John Rose, Maureen Tompson and John Rose have recently spent two weeks at Gallaudet College in Washington D.C. finding out how the College runs Leadership training programmes for deaf people and how they train interpreters for deaf people. 
  • The Manawatu Catholic Deaf Association hosted a BBQ at Maree Carroll’s farm with mass and a BBQ afterward. There was also the chance to fit in some horse riding too!
