  • An update on this year’s National Catholic Deaf Conference – challenges for the future of the Catholic Deaf Ministry. Conference attendees had the opportunity to visit the old St. Dominic’s Island Bay address which was just down the road from the Home of Compassion. The original property was sub-divided and became no’s 15 & 17 Dover St. No. 15 is now 3 flats. 
  • The Catholic Deaf Community meets up with the Auckland Deaf Christian Fellowship for a social event at the Auckland Botanic Garden.
  • Terry O’Brien is farewelled and his 40 years contribution to Deaf education is acknowledged with an event at Manawatu Deaf Society.
