  • David Loving-Molloy has made contact with all Catholic schools (primary and secondary) in the Palmerston North and Wellington dioceses to discover whether or not they have any Deaf or hearing-impaired pupils. I have had a good response and there are a number of schools in both dioceses who have indicated that they have one or more hearing-impaired children on their roll. In the 2nd half of the year, he will switch his focus to the Wellington schools—which have a bigger number of Deaf and hearing-impaired. 
  • Mary Fifield celebrated her 70th birthday in May. Doreen Howell of Wellington who is 100 years old passed away in May 2016.
