  • Stephen Leach has been accepted by Gallaudet College in Washington, and will be leaving NZ in early January. Apparently he did so well in their exams that he may not even have to stay the full four years.
  • A discussion on the quote given by Daniel Beech saying that deaf adults should be leaders in their own deaf community. What qualifications should these people have? Should they be married or single? What kind of training would they have?
  • Next year, two deaf Auckland women, Mrs June Whiting and Miss Maureen Seth, will be taking a two-year course in Christian Family Life Education. 
  • Lorraine Nilsson talks about her life, being a member of Manawatu Deaf Society and now an Executive member of the N.Z.A.D. and the Manawatu Deaf Trust and present is working for the International Year of Disabled Persons in 1981. She is also compiling a census of NZ deaf.
