Deaf Southern Star: 2012 (Vol. 34, No. 4)

Some of the items featured in the St Dominic’s Catholic Deaf Centre’s ‘Deaf Southern Star’ (Vol. 34, No. 4, 2012) newsletter:

  • David Loving-Molloy is selling his new book of poetry titled ‘unplugging karma’. These books are being sold as a fundraiser for the Catholic Deaf Centre.
  • 2012 has been a productive year with a lot of progress made on the translation of the Church booklet – the Misalette – into NZSL. Next year, an official DVD of the translation will be created and distributed which will be a great resource for the Church.
  • 2013 will also see Catholic Deaf Chaplaincy and our newsletter reaching 35 years of service to the Catholic Deaf Community in New Zealand. Plans are underway for a Palmerston North celebration in February and an Auckland celebration sometime after that.
  • Mary Johnson and Judith Serfontein attended a Deaf Pastoral Conference at Mary Mackillop Place in North Sydney.
  • Deaf Organisations
  • TV/Media
