• The Manawatu Catholic Deaf Association has been very busy planning for the St. Dominic’s Fortieth Reunion of ex-pupils. 
• The N.Z.C.D.A. held their AGM on 2 June 1984 at St Dominic’s School and a new committee was selected for 1984-85. 
• It took John Ooteman 27 hours, 41 minutes and 14 seconds to cycle from Auckland to Wellington. He came 15th in a group of 66 cyclists in the 1983 Dulux Seven Day Cycle Race. John has two racing bikes, Colagne and Gazelle.
