• A report on the 8th National Conference of the Catholic Association of Deaf and Hearing-Impaired People of Australia, held in Brisbane, 11-14 April 1985.
• An appreciation from St Dominic’s on Henry Fredericks who has passed away. He was involved in a committee to raise funds for a swimming pool for St Dominics. For 23 years, he was Chairman of the Gala committee. There were many ex-pupils of St Dominic’s at his funeral. 
• The Auckland Catholic Association had their 6th AGM, with Elizabeth Katu presenting their annual report on their 1984-1985 activities. Mary Johnson was appointed its new President.
