Historic first rugby league game between New Zealand and Australia 1988 in Sydney, on 11 June 1988 at Henson Park, Newton. The Australians are the Trans-Tasman Cup Champions. The Kiwis kick off the game with a rousing haka, but the game went to the Australians 16-6. While in Sydney, the Kiwi team also played a match against NSW which they lost 8–18.
