The Auckland Deaf rugby league boys make a trip down to Lower Hutt, Wellington to play a game of rugby league against the Wellington Deaf boys, staying at the Lower Hutt Motor Camp. The game is held on Sunday 28 July 1991 at Fraser Park. The video briefly shows the teams pre-match in their dressing rooms, before focusing on the match, which Wellington won 18 to 10. Michael Wi was the man of the match and received a bottle of wine for his efforts. The after-match function is held at Randwick Rugby League Club in Naenae. Speeches are interpreted by Freda Pearce.

Randwick Rugby League Sports Club is the second longest surviving club affiliated to Wellington Rugby League, established in 1930. At Randwick, Rodney Roberts oversees the speeches, with even a ‘Bad Form’ (Worst Player of the Day) prize on the agenda!
