The Wellington Deaf Youth Group organizes the 3rd National Deaf Youth Camp – a five-day camp in Hastings. The theme of the camp is UNITY.

The Wellington Deaf Youth Group organizes the 3rd National Deaf Youth Camp – a five-day camp in Hastings. The theme of the camp is UNITY, with workshops that relates to this theme. The purpose of the National Deaf Youth Camp is to give an opportunity to Deaf and hard of hearing young people around New Zealand a chance to meet up with old friends and make new friends.

Team activities, on top of the compulsory Deaf youth forum, concert, storytelling activities were attempting the confidence course, climbing, abseiling, kayaking, and high beam activities, along with a raft building competition.

Speakers at the camp included Ben Webb, Zachary Best and Tim Lewin, Victoria Lessing, Ben Webb, Theresa Cooper, Darryl Alexander and Daniel Greenwood.
