Phil Keoghan, from the educational TV series ‘Spot On’, visits the set of ‘Strangers’, a Margaret Mahy novel that has been made into a drama series. 7-year-old Sonia Pivac has a significant acting role in ‘Strangers’. Sonia is interviewed about her experience being the only Deaf actor and how she found communication on set. Miranda Harcourt bridges the communication between Sonia and Phil, having learnt sign language. Sonia is also asked about her school work while filming for the drama.
