  • School for the Deaf Marching Girls reunited 45 years later!

Members of the Deaf Marching Girls reunite 45 years later, celebrating their 45th anniversary over the weekend of April 10 to 13, 1998. They spend their Friday practising at van Asch from 10am until later that afternoon, before relaxing and catching up at the Deaf Society of Canterbury at its Armagh Street clubrooms. On Saturday, the group goes on a mystery bus trip. Where do they go?! On Sunday 12 April, the refreshed ladies put on a marching display for supporters at van Asch. There is also a photograph display and afternoon tea. The weekend is finished off on Monday with another morning tea at the Deaf Club before calling it a wrap!
