Auckland Deaf Society’s annual picnic at Long Bay on Sunday 28 January 1990, where members compete in the 100m sprint (and fake starts!) for the coveted Allen Trophy and the boys show off their bodybuilding moves. The annual infamous tug-o-war for both men’s and women’s, and the Oliver Trophy for Step Distance are also covered.

The picnic is organised by ADS Basketball Club. It started 10am, with games from 11am onwards. Lollies scramble for children. Great games for everybody. Good prizes. Sausages for sale. $5 per single. $7 per family.
