The first photo is a group photo of Auckland Deaf Society members at the back of the 164 Balmoral Road hall, celebrating its 50^th Anniversary in 1987. The second photo is of ‘Under 40s’. If you have a copy, please contact us. There was a huge celebration to mark the 50th Anniversary, with the Deaf Centre open for those who came from afar to visit the Society. There was a special display of photographs showing some of the Society’s achievements and special lunch given for the members who were over 60 and their friends. They enjoyed a good luncheon and met old friends. The buffet saw many visitors. On Saturday, a Dine and Dance was held at Ellerslie which which was very successful.
