Auckland Deaf Society newsletter: September 1989

Some of the items featured in Auckland Deaf Society’s September 1989 newsletter:

  • The ADS Combined Sports is asking people to draw a logo for the Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation. Unfortunately there are no prizes involved!
  • Last weekend, the Executive of N.Z.A.D. interviewed three Deaf teachers of Sign Language who have a lot of experience in teaching Deaf people how to teach the Hearing. Two from Australia, one from England and one more to be interviewed and the final choice will be confirmed when the Council meets in October.
  • A petition is put in the newsletter, asking the Board of Trustees of Kelston School for the Deaf to propose a new name for the school.
  • Deaf Clubs
  • TV/Media
