The National Film unit catches scenes of student life at St Dominic’s School for the Deaf in Wellington. Footage shows lip-reading and speaking lessons, and an eyesight test, where the commentator notes that good eyesight is important for lip-reading. The film gives a glimpse into the daily life of students at the school, as well as their relationship with the nuns who ran the school.
