  • Arriving for the Deaf Sports Convention in Auckland 1952

Members of the Auckland Deaf community arrive in the early morning to meet arrivals from Wellington, Palmerston North and Christchurch, all due to compete in the 1952 Deaf Sports Convention in Auckland. They are escorted into the city to stay at the YMCA (near the Auckland Art Galley in the corner Wellesley and Lorne Streets in central Auckland), where the group gathers prior to their trip to neighbouring Parnell where the events are held at Carlaw Park.
