Auckland Deaf Society newsletter: November 2009

Some of the items featured in Auckland Deaf Society’s November 2009 newsletter:

  • Construction workers will start installing new aluminium windows replacing the old outside wooden windows in the sports hall.
  • Two ADS members were New Zealand Deaf Netball team representatives. They made a 5 day trip to Australia early October; the first time the New Zealand team participated in the annual Margo Allen National Deaf Netball Club Championships. The team did extremely well, winning five out of six games (one which they lost by only one point!).
  • ADS membership has reached 384 members which is the highest number in history. The Club continues with discounted drinks for members, food from the canteen, availability of sports clubs under the ADS umbrella, reintroducing the SSR, and the new raffle/jackpot system.
