Canterbury beats Wellington in a game of rugby league once again in a more closely fought contest (22-18), kicking off 1:30pm on 4 July 1992 at Naenae Park, Lower Hutt, Wellington.

The Wellington boys, the ‘Wellington Lions’ welcome the Canterbury boys for their first visit to Wellington with a haka and a massive jump at the end of it! After-match drinks are held at the Randwick Rugby League Club. Afterwards, the players head to a privately rented small hall for awards and a good night of socialising and fundraising for Wellington Deaf Rugby League. Ross Freemantle was awarded the player of the match for Canterbury.
