Saynab Muse, a Tu Kokiri student interviews Ngaire Doherty, ex-President of Auckland Deaf Society at the Balmoral clubroom. Ngaire says there’s been many laughs over the years with many events hosted by Auckland Deaf Society. She’s now narrowed down her sports to indoor bowls and lawn bowls. Ngaire is also a New Zealand Deaf bowls representative and will play in the upcoming Deaf Lawn Bowls championships in Ireland. Ngaire was part of a group of five supporters who went to the World Deaf Games in Los Angeles 1985.

A project by Tu Kokiri Deaf students made with funding from the Albert-Eden Local Board, in collaboration with Auckland Deaf Society and edited footage from SignDNA.
