Deaf Aucklanders make their way down to Wellington for Labour Weekend. They travel along SH4, and stop by the lookout to Raukawa Falls, on the Mangawhero River. The Labour Weekend Games in Wellington, included running, relay, long jump and triple jump, in front of keen spectators. After the Games, everyone heads to the coast – Paekakariki – for a picnic. There many activities there, including two people at a time sitting on a log and trying to knock the other person off with cushions; searching for treasures in haystacks, and the more traditional tug-of-war.
