  • A Friday evening at Christchurch Deaf Society

Patty Still and Carey Brackenridge hustle and bustle around the Deaf Club’s kitchen, taking care of orders, cooking, and payments. Patty shows the camera one of her meals with a salad, and insists that it’s CHEAP at only $5.00! Richard Hanson and Tom Still both work in the bar. You can see a sign advertising $1 drink cans. The name, 'Christchurch Deaf Society' was changed to 'Deaf Society of Canterbury' in October 1997.
