Auckland Deaf Society newsletter: July 1962

Some of the items featured in Auckland Deaf Society’s July 1962 newsletter:

• The Club’s Jubilee Ball and Dinner will be held on 24 and 25 August. This will be a great opportunity to meet old friends. We hope to host a number of hearing people at the dinner who have helped us in the past. 
• A Mad Hatters Social was held in June 1962 and was a great success! The winner was Hilda Goodhue, a visitor from Whangarei. Over 70 people attended.
• Tenders for a new floor in the new clubroom would be around £6,000. A special meeting has been called for by the younger members as they are not sure the floor will be of any benefit. The meeting will be held on 21 July 1962 at 7.45pm.
