National Provident is proud to be the sole sponsor of the New Zealand team contesting the 16th World Games for the Deaf, in Christchurch.

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to all competitors and officials, on behalf of the 120,000 New Zealanders and their employers who are members of The Fund.

Amongst those members are a significant number of executives and staff of the Christchurch City Council, which has offered generous financial support to the Games, in addition to providing QEII Park and other venues at no cost.

We have no doubt that the Council’s hospitality will be matched by the Christchurch public’s traditional enthusiasm for major sporting events of this nature.

While we’re hoping our New Zealand team does well, we also hope that every competitor exceeds the personal goals which are quietly committed to before each competitive event.

Christchurch is a beautiful Garden City which will proudly endeavour to ensure that every team has an enjoyable and rewarding time.

Although most of our members won’t be at the Games in person, we’re confident that you’ll all feel our support.
