A good crowd gathers to the deep south, Dunedin for the NZ Deaf Sports Convention in 1983. Coverage includes various athletic events, such as running, long jump, shot-put, and the exciting relay races! Also includes speeches and prizegiving for athletics. It later moves onto the netball, with the Christchurch girls having their photo taken before their game against Auckland. The footage ends with a great group photo of all netball players from Christchurch, Auckland, Manawatu and Wellington.

Twenty First Deaf Sports Convention
This month, the Manawatu Deaf Club will again host the Annual New Zealand Deaf Convention. It will be the twenty-first with over 200 people competing. 160-170 will be from Auckland, Waikato, Taranaki, Wellington, Christchurch and Southland. Local competitors make up the total.
