Pocket Patch: Auckland Deaf Society

A pocket patch from Auckland Deaf Society with its new logo designed in 1972 by Kevin Pivac, which closely reflected Auckland Council’s logo at that time. In 1972 at a Special General Meeting, Auckland Deaf Society agreed to formally change its name to Auckland Deaf Society Inc (incorporating Friends of the Deaf Inc). Friends of the Deaf held their final meeting on 26 March 1973.
