Handmade Athletic and Basketball Uniform: Manawatu Deaf Society

This uniform, a white handmade singlet with MDC on it (standing for Manawatu Deaf Club) and green ‘shorts’ was Manawatu Deaf Society’s ladies athletics and basketball uniform in the 1960s and early 1970s. Photos show the team playing at the YMCA in Palmerston North in 1966. They played in the ‘D’ Grade, Lane & Hill Cup Indoor Basketball league.
