Inspired by a conversation about America’s Talent Quest, Michelle Kruger and Keethan Sundar decided to bring something different to Aotearoa – launching the uniquely Deaf-led Auckland Sign Talent Quest. Over the years, the event celebrated a wide range of talents and brought the community together in new ways. Michelle shares what it took behind the scenes – from organising logistics to encouraging people to sign up and showcase what they were great at. The result was a vibrant, diverse competition that spotlighted creativity in all its forms.
