The NZ team returns from the XIV World Games for the Deaf, Köln, Germany 1981.

The New Zealand team attended the XIV World Games for the Deaf in Köln, Germany in 1981 and are seen returning home, filmed at Auckland Airport. A crowd welcomes them back with banners, WELCOME HOME TO OUR CHAMPIONS, WE ARE PROUD OF YOU! Two New Zealand athletes won medals at the games: the Palmerston North cyclist, John Ooteman won a gold medal for the 35km road race and the wrestler Robert Algie (Featherston) won two silver medals, and they show their medals to the cameras. The New Zealand team and management pose for photographs outside Auckland Airport. The arrival home of the athletes is also featured on News Review.
